Valuable cooperation between the People’s Republic of China and Brazil

The 6th meeting of the Sino-Brazilian High Level Commission for Dialogue and Cooperation (COSBAN) was held on May 23, 2022. A large number of ministries and government agencies, attended to discuss the coordination and systematic planning of bilateral cooperation on foreign affairs such as economy, science, technology, etc.

This meeting demonstrates the great importance that both parties place on expanding bilateral cooperation. As one of Brazil’s main sources of investment, Chinese companies are increasingly investing in sectors such as infrastructure, manufacturing and high technology. They are also advancing projects in the fields of telecommunications, aerospace, environment, and the digital, green, and innovation economy. In the same vein, Jin Hongjun, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in Brazil, mentioned that the PRC sees Brazil as an emerging world power, a strategic global partner, and that in the 47 years of diplomatic relations, the two countries have developed a relationship marked by mutual respect and equality.
