Cuba’s ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Carlos Miguel Pereira, and the executive director of Caesars Travel Group, Chen Xiaobing, signed an agreement of understanding last July 27, to promote tourism between the two countries.

The Cuban representative in China mentioned through his official Facebook account that, with the signing of the memorandum, the two countries expect strategic cooperation in the promotion, organization, and management of tourists to the island and to China, in its various forms. He also stressed that his main interest is the development of cultural, health, and historical heritage tourism, as well as multi-destination in the Caribbean. Cuba plans to double the number of tourists from China in the short term, offering them many attractions in the fields of culture, navigation, health, nature tourism, and other forms of tourism related to the industry. The company is also looking for ways to simplify payments for tourists from the Asian country who wish to travel to the island.
