Trinidad and Tobago to increase exports to China

During a tour of Angostura Limited and Trinidad and Tobago Cacao Fino manufacturing facilities, Paula Goppe-Scoon, Minister of Trade and Industry, said that Trinidad and Tobago is actively seeking to increase its exports to China. She was joined on the tour by Fang Qiu, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, and Tricia Coosal, President of the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association.

During the tour, the delegation gathered relevant information on the manufacturing processes of both companies, as both the government of Trinidad and Tobago and the government of China strive to strengthen their cooperation with local companies interested in exporting to the Asian country. The minister stated that her main concern is to ensure that local products are able to penetrate new markets, where these items can be purchased globally.
