The Republic of China has extended an invitation to Venezuela to participate in its International Lunar Research Station (ILRS) project, which is set to be constructed in the early 2030s with Russia鈥檚 assistance. This collaborative initiative reflects the shared commitment of both countries to international cooperation in the realm of deep space exploration. The occasion of January 28th marked the 18th anniversary of the initial space cooperation agreement signed between China and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which laid the foundation for the development of such programs and projects.

In line with this cooperation, Marglad Bencomo, the executive director of the Bolivarian Agency for Space Activities (ABAE), visited the newly established National Deep Space Exploration Laboratory (DSEL) in China on March 30. There, she was warmly received by Wu Yanhua, the former deputy director of the Chinese Space Agency (CNSA) and the current executive vice-president of DSEL. During the visit, Bencomo reiterated Venezuela’s eagerness to collaborate with both nations in joint research endeavors, scientific exchanges, and the training of human talent.聽聽聽聽
