The shareholding of the retail company Justo & Bueno (J&B) was purchased by the Chinese conglomerate Joining Futures Capital International Limited. The news of the purchase was made official last Thursday, April 19, following the supermarket company’s financial crisis that began in 2021.

China announced the new “Disaster Relief Fund for Caribbean countries”

An e-summit was held on Friday, April 29, 2022, where China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced the establishment of a “Disaster Relief Fund for Caribbean countries”. Diplomatic representatives from the following nine nations attended the online meeting: Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Barbados.
