Mexico and China Inaugurate Visa Center in Mexico City

Mexico and China inaugurated a Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Mexico City, which will streamline visa processing for citizens interested in visiting China for tourism, cultural, or business purposes. China’s Ambassador to Mexico, Zhang Run, highlighted the progress in bilateral relations, reflected in a 77% increase in visas issued compared to 2023.
With this new center, China now has 107 such facilities in 58 countries. At the inauguration, Mexico’s Deputy Tourism Secretary, Sebastián Ramírez, emphasized China’s importance in culture and Mexico’s interest in promoting tourism and exchange with Asia. Rafael Bernal, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the center will boost political, economic, social, and cultural exchange between both countries
