On October 11, Alejandro Dom铆nguez, president of Conmebol, announced a donation of 30,000 Sinovac vaccines by Conmebol to the Paraguayan Ministry of Health as a sign of gratitude for the organization of the upcoming Women’s Libertadores Cup, with the exception of the final to be held at the Centenario Stadium in Montevideo.

鈥淲ithin the framework of Conmebol’s collaboration and social responsibility policy, today we can announce that we are going to make a donation of 30,000 doses of the Coronavac vaccine,” said Dom铆nguez at the Government Palace in Asunci贸n. Conmebol had already received a donation of 50,000 vaccines from the Sinovac laboratory for the members of professional teams in South America as part of the operation to enable the return of both continental and national tournaments. The head of the agency, who informed Paraguayan President Mario Abdo Ben铆tez of this donation, pointed out that the donation includes the 7,860 vaccines that were previously destined for Paraguayan soccer and others delivered to the Buen Pastor women’s prison in the capital.
