Venezuela and China make rapprochement in communication matters

The Deputy Minister of International Communication of Venezuela, Mercedes Chacín, and the Director-General of China Media Group (CMG) Latin America, Zhu Boying, met in order to strengthen cooperation in the field of communication between the two countries. This meeting, held in the prestigious Simón Bolívar Hall, was marked by Chacín’s determination to establish collaborative agreements that not only improve relations between Venezuela and China but also enable both countries to become reference points for news in their respective nations. In a gesture of openness, Zhu Boying emphasized the relevance of communication and explored various opportunities for collaboration, expressing a strong desire to strengthen ties and enhance cooperation with local media in Venezuela.
The strong relationship between China and Venezuela is reflected in the signing of an impressive number of 493 agreements that cover a wide range of sectors, including energy, mining, agriculture, economics, trade, culture, science, technology, aerospace, and politics. This collaboration, built on the principles of Bolivarian Diplomacy for Peace, has been consistently strengthened from the presidency of Hugo Chávez to the current administration of President Nicolás Maduro. The Deputy Ministry for International Communication is committed to actively promoting communication and fostering effective cooperation between Venezuela and the rest of the world.
