The Argentine ambassador to China, Sabino Vaca Narvaja, met with Chinese businessmen to make progress on urban train modernization projects in Argentina, including the electrification of the Belgrano Norte Line, the incorporation of 200 cars for the Roca Line, the modernization of the Urquiza Line and cooperation for the maintenance of cars on the Sarmiento, Mitre, and Roca lines. He also worked with the investment area team on the possibility of a Chinese company putting money into the establishment of a railway factory in Argentina.
Vaca Narvaja highlighted China’s experience in the world’s largest high-speed rail network and its innovative technology that protects the environment. The forthcoming signing of the associated Cooperation Plan is expected to further deepen cooperation with these companies and reduce train costs and emissions in Argentina. He also visited the CRRC Sifang railway factory, a leading railway material construction company that has a prototype of a magnetic levitation train.
