Bolivia highlights cooperation with China at world summit

President Luis Arce took part in the II World Summit on Trade and Investment Promotion of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, held in Beijing. During his speech, he emphasized the importance of cooperation and dialogue in addressing the economic and social challenges that countries face. President Arce also praised President Xi Jinping’s proposals for global development, global security, and global civilization. In a message shared on his social media platforms, he highlighted the summit as a unique platform for fostering mutual understanding, establishing strategic alliances, and exploring investment and development opportunities.

Within the context of the global development initiative, President Arce emphasized the pragmatic cooperation between Bolivia and China in the economic and commercial sectors. Notably, this cooperation has been particularly prominent in the development of projects involving lithium, zinc, and other initiatives that contribute to the implementation of joint development strategies. President Arce reiterated that Bolivia resumed its path towards economic growth with social justice in November 2020, embracing a productive social-community economic model.

It is worth mentioning that this summit brings together global agencies and international organizations dedicated to promoting world trade and investment, with the objective of strengthening cooperation and building an open global economy.
